Aaron has been working for LARKIN+ since 2007, and is currently the Managing Associate. He has been involved in most facets of land use planning projects including site plan approvals, municipal and regional amendments, plans of subdivision and land use investigations. Originally from River Canard, ON, on the outskirts of Windsor, Aaron earned an accredited Bachelor of Arts degree from his hometown university, the University of Windsor in Urban Planning. After obtaining his degree, Aaron continued his education in AutoCAD from Saint Clair College of Applied Arts and Technology (2005) in Windsor, On and Geographic Information Systems Application Specialist certificate program (2006) from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Lindsay, On. Although working in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Aaron still maintains a close connection with his grassroots in Windsor. Aaron is a full member of both the Ontario Professional Planners Institute (OPPI) and the Canadian Institute of Planners (CIP), and has the designation of Registered Professional Planner (RPP) in the Province of Ontario.
Hailing from the tiny hamlet of River Canard, Ontario, Aaron is an active player and viewer of all things related to competitive sports including but not limited to basketball, football, cycling and curling. You may overhear him sharing stories with colleagues and friends of playing sports and sharing sport-related injuries and of course, what remarkably occurred during last night’s game. Supportive of a work hard, play hard mantra, Aaron tries to balance his work-life by making travel opportunities a priority. He aspires to check off quite a few boxes on the travel bucket list and looks forward to adventuring the globe. Some of his travel goals include taking a safari in Tanzania; experiencing the magnitude of history in Pompeii; witnessing the engineering feats of Egypt; taking in the landscape of Peru and New Zealand not to mention other Metropolitan centres the world has to offer. Aaron is motivated to learn new skills and abilities in order to continually improve himself; from learning how to build a shed with electricity, to improving his cycling time, to reading articles on leadership. Aaron is also passionate about music and enjoys listening to bands of all varieties play live in various locations, which is a lifelong joy that he will continue to endeavor over time.
